the part of the guild that I operate is the Yarn Shop - now known as Stash Enhancement Transfer Station - abbreviated mostly to SETS. For the last 3yrs I have somehow managed - actually funds have been way down - in a very small space about 2.5mts square. As time went on I had to send to store things that didn't get enuff space. If the little dye powder pots could've talked they would have said things like "we were here on this shelf before; um didn't we move over here last spring, oh not again!" it will be nice to have space to for everything to have white space around 'em. I shuffled everything about every 3mths in an attempt for those jumbled at the back, down low or high to be seen. And there was never enuff space for the punters to stand back, to sort out, to see either.

A couple of Tuesdays ago everything from there, the store both inventory and shelving units arrived - in a completely jumble. And then the fun began. I'm not sure of the actual measurements in this space but the 2.5mt shelving unit has another 5' spare from the end of it! I have created rooms using some of the bigger shelving units as the walls secured to the rafters with 3x2 long lengths of wood. Members won't be all that happy when they realise to get into the last 2 rooms they have to walk around past things they may not want! Some of units are still in 'temp' mode until I "see" how much space we need for things like fleece, sliver, top etc. The yarns won't know what has hit 'em there is ahuge amount of space at this point including a walk-in closet with lots of nice shelves. And I'm still minus a counter - hope to rectify that this w/end if I can find that elusive object I want that isn't really a counter :-) something interesting to hold the scales, the till drawer, pens, tape measure as there is plenty of storage space elsewhere for all those other important things :-)

when I have it all sorted and stock on shelves - I'll get some pictures loaded somewhere online for all to see.........still left to do some "walls of wire netting to be created, some painting, the counter, minor things which are in the string of some of these things i.e. can't attach xyz until this is in place" and of course finally unpack the inventory and put in place.

who had all this rushed into my personal life but just to make it more interesting have sprained my tailbone when I dramatically slide onto brick paving nearly 2wks ago then got heavily bruised legs when a lot of loom parts at same guild fell on me in the storehouse whilst looking for some shelving brackets!
