Hi Susan,

What you're doing right now is actually unspinning the Wensleydale,
assuming that it is a singles.  You'll need to add the mohair with an S
twist (since that is the direction your core thread is spun) onto the
Wensleydale than ply back over it with another thread (Wensleydale or
other - even sewing thread works)or self ply with the core spun yarn to
give you a balanced yarn.

If adding the mohair in a S direction makes your thread more overspun
than you'd like, you might need to take some of the original S-twist out
of your Wensleydale by spinning it ever so slightly in the z direction
before you add the mohair to it (again, in the s-direction).
