Well, for one thing with wool, we'd STILL be fighting the sometimes real,
but more often just imagined sensitivities there!  And a lot of those that
are real are caused by the chemicals used to process the wools.  So we can't
win either way.

And a lot of people seem to believe that cotton is the ultimate, natural,
safe fiber - ignoring the tons and tons of chemicals and water that it takes
to process it.

I also remember a ways back, all that promotion of "green" fibers -
reprocessed yarns and such.  The manufacturers just found a new way to
promote "shoddy" - yes, the true meaning of the term - shoddy=reprocessed!
Unfortunately most people forget that animal fibers from
sheep/goats/camelids are also very much renewable.
