Hello,
I have had the same problem for years. It usually flares up when I have
to wash my hands a lot during cold & flu season. I have found that when it
gets very itchy and dry I put some neosporin on it and cover it with
a band aid
for the day and it usually clears right up. I don't know if it is something
in the cream or the fact that it is covered (I use the stretchy band aids).
Also, if you feel like they starting to get a fare up I put something called
Lansinoh it is for breast feeding mothers but it is made out of 100% lanolin
and is not cheap but will last forever since you only use a tiny bit. I
would not use this if you think you are allergic to lanolin though. I
have been
told my trouble is eczema and it has days when you would not even know I have
it and other when I can't bend my fingers without them cracking. I too hate
when I snag my knitting or spinning. I usually will put lotion on before I do
anything.
Hope maybe some of this will help. I will be going onto the web site someone
mentioned so I can learn more as well.
Karie
