So, what's your favorite lotion to use before spinning?
When I want to spin something really 'catchy', like silk, I love the old spinners' rememdy.
I put about a half teaspoon of sugar in the palm of my hand, add about the same amount of olive oil (I guess any vegetable oil would work, but there's something satisfying about olive oil <g>), and work it into a sort of paste. I rub it all over my hands, making sure to get around the nail-beds where hangnails hang out ;), then rinse well in warm water. It's kind of an exfoliant and moisturizer all-in-one, and I can spin even silk comfortably afterwards.
In fact, I like this well enough I sometimes use it even when I'm not going to spin immediately after.
