Are you sure you have to block it? Is it lace? All I ever block is lace.
I made a lace wimple out of handspun. You can either find something to
stretch it around that's a good size, or you can pin it out flat. I did
the latter. When it was nearly dry, I took out the pins and put the
formerly-folded edges to the center, and pinned it out again. In
wearing, the bit of a fold that remained disappeared.
