I have yet to find a book which labels all the parts and pieces of a loom for
me, so I can learn the terms better. We were graciously given an older,
handmade loom for my son, and are waiting for some shuttles for him (ordered),
but meantime, are trying to makes heads and tails of what sits on the table.
I can see the logics of it, how it works, but I desperately need to know the
terms involved (call me weird). We make frequent trips to our LYS where there
are several commercial looms of similar structure, and are getting a wonderful
idea of all the weaving he can do. They tend to be rather busy, so really
can't get anyone there to help us much right now, otherwise I would glean info
from them. DS already has a couple of projects in mind, and is eager to get
on it. I did have a friend over who is also just starting to weave, and she
pointed out a few things, but I am a person who remembers things best when I
see them in print, as far as names and labels, and see technique in action, so
it all went out the window already.

Any good books out there that both my sweet boy and I can enjoy in learning
about what we have here? I do know it is a two harness loom (if I remember
what I was told accurately), but I have no idea why, lol.

Oh, to be a newbie.......
