I've been making socks for myself for at least 15 years, and the earliest ones ar just now beginning to wear out. At least the ones made with commercial yarn with nylon. The ones made of Kiogu (to die for) got a hole after only 10-15 wearings. I darned them of course. I knit socks on size 0 needles, so they are nice and firm. Gayle
