Oh! I found it on the website - Nordic braiding.

Down in the middle of the page, something about slindring braid
sampler...
Hi to all!
That sort of braid is often called Slentre (or sometimes Slendre).
You'll find quite a bit about the braid on the internet by using those
search terms. "Piala's string pages" comes to mind, especially.
I confess I was uncertain what was being discussed until now. Most every
year, I teach a class at North House Folk School where, for one project,
we touch on this type of braid within the context of making "jultreddokke."
Slentre braid has many variations, and some of them require more than
one worker. There are photos of a four-person variation in Nylin's book
'Hemslvjd' on pages 196-197 (in the English translation 'Swedish
Handcraft,' the photos are on page 294). Some directions for Slentre
describe the position of the hands as 'palms down,' but I have never
seen anyone who can do it that way without many fumbles. 'Palms up'
seems to be the better way to go, and all of the older accounts I have
encountered point to that direction.
I just returned from North House where I taught that class. Just down
the street from the school there is, for now, a fabulous craft
exhibition where the emphasis is on materials from bogs swamps.
