I was not familiar with 'texel' sheep breed. looked it up and it appears to be a meat breed cross between Lincoln and Leicester Longwool. I'm assuming it's a long staple like Lincoln, but I'm not familiar with Leister - is this similar to Border Leister? Please excuse my spellings - I'm sure they are not correct.
