Seems like some direct marketing would be a possible solution, if you're allowed to do that. In the US, farmers have found again and again that if they can sell their products direct to consumers, the farmers make a lot more money--but of course, they spend more time marketing than they would otherwise.

If you and the other Shetland breeders on Fair Isle can get together, maybe you can create your own mini marketing co-op?
