What's the purpose? One major teacher/class or just a taste of lots of subjects? Look at something like the weavers conferences. Those are 1-3 hr lectures and with the numbers who come require registration. One or two major teachers should also require registration--if only to know when you've hit the teacher's limit. > Show'n'Tell That'll happen no matter what you do ;-) > Road trip to the local wool mill Waaay cool > Time to sit and knit > Free time to do "whatever": depending on the location, maybe some > walking > outside, swimming in a pool, sit and knit, etc Again this'll happen--and sometimes it's the major reason people attend--to make new friends and catch up with old ones. > A contest of some kind <shrug> > Potluck meals; catered food; going out to eat? Depends on your group and the fee you want to charge. Going out to eat IMHO takes too much time away from the fun. A closely knit group can manage doing their own food but meals available prepared is a blessing for women taking a break from family, job, etc. > > Anything else you can think of? VENDORS Gotta have a place to shop for those items that the LYS just doesn't carry. Cynthia To stop mail temporarily mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: set nomail To restore send: set mail
