I have some nice 1 ply yarn and I'm looking for a device that would twist the strands
together.
So please tell what you want the twisted yarn for. It can help to
figure out what you need.
If you just want 2-ply yarn, for knitting or weaving, then a spinning
wheel or a hand spindle will do the job.
If you're talking about making cord - there are cord twisters available,
but a doorknob works well too ;).
