Eek if she is only feeding grains the bunnies will be malnurished. They are like everything else they need a well rounded diet. Pellets are the base of the diet, then some timothy hay not alfalfa as that is too much protein in their diet then. They need a two to three times a week grains and seeds to help keep wool block down. They can have fruits and fresh veggies. They love corn husks. They love fresh grass and dandelion greens. If you only feed one thing you deprive the bunny of a well rounded diet that keeps them healthy and able to process the wool they inevetibly ingest. The sores and other things may be due to a poor diet. So I think you are right. Check online and find site that feature that. She probably only heard the breeder say about the regular grain and seeds to keep wool block away and missed the rest of the breeder's directions for feeding. They may recover well with a better diet. Eve with 4 angora bunnies.
