Oh, dear, so sad.  A weed is nothing more than a plant who's value is
unrealized.  I just did an article for some homesteading lists I belong to
about the value of nettles.  If you are interested, I can send it to you.  It
is a very important herb!  And for bracken, you don't WANT to chew it, after
it is grown out from a young fiddle head.  It can be in itself, a bad thing to
be chewing on.

To keep this somewhat on topic, there are a LOT of great wild herbs out there
that can be used for dying as well as other things.  You'd do well to look
into it, if you are interested in such things.
