 This same ad has been spamming lists i own.  Yahoogroups offers
 several ways to stop it:

 1) turn on the spam filter.  Of course, list members who do not trim
 the material they quote, especially quoted URLs will end up in the
 spam filters too.

 2) turn on the feature to moderate posts of all new members.  Yahoo
 will send an email telling you there are messages to moderate. After
 rejecting the message as spam, ban that member.

 3) report the spam to abuse@ whatever the rest of the email address is.

 4) turn on the feature where you have to approve all new members.  All
 you have to do is send an email to potentials, asking them why they
 want to join.

 So you have several good options to protect the list from spam.
