Well there is absolutely no snow here! Not that we ever do have snow other than out at Snow Planet - a commercial enterprise who has indoor ski runs and things for people who just have to have it, year round! I've not been there but I have passed the big shed on the way North......
I've been around about a decade on group lists but to date this is my only overseas fibrelist I have remained on, i find most of the messages very interesting as I learn a great deal about your lives/places in general without to much of 'xperts! I am having a review and sort up year; originally it was just to be fibrecraft stuff but with the advent of my flatmate flying the coop it has become a whole house sort up! My big looms are taking sabbatical leave as well but my dyepots do see me from time to time as SETS still needs me! I'm now a 2nd year University of Auckland student, who for some reason decided that I would follow more art sort sort of dreams and to that end I have changed my major to Asian studies, History/Politics cluster with many of my papers leaning towards China. (not the language, everything in English) Minor will be Art History although it's still not too late to do a double major......I wanted to stay DownUnder Art History but a lack of papers has me rethink and next Semester I'll dabble a little in Europe.......To date all my essays have learnt toward art-minded objects. I just finished one on Michel Tuffery who does have a website. I'm writing one now about Mogao Ku, much online about them and I've another in the pipeline on fish hooks ancient mostly from the Hawaiian Islands. So I might not be doing much actual craft but I'm learning alot about other crafts.... - Cathy in New Zealand Friendship isn't a big thing, it's a million little things.
