Just a word to the guy in Minnesota - I wrote him this spring - he has a bale of flax from Europe. Unfortunately he doesn't send samples and his information states up front that the fineness/coarseness varies and he can't guarantee consistent quality on larger orders. This leads me to believe he is dealing in what I referred to this morning - leftover line flax dressed for plumbing supply where fiber diameter is less of an issue than for spinners. I'd be interested in any reports from customers.
