Congrats to you for you 1/2 century of living!!! I passed mine a few years ago and was thinking of the 55th and should I do something fun then. I've added a lot of fiber to my "diet" in the last few years. Lots of exotics, guanaco, qiviut, various silks, all animal so far. Not quite into wanting to try linen yet, maybe someday. I bought myself a couple of little looms but haven't started any projects yet as I'm having too much fun spinning and knitting. I have a 32" Kromski Harp and another little tapestry type loom. They were sort of whims to buy when I got retired early and had a little extra to spare. By the time I turned 50 however, I did quit drinking and smoking and of course drugs weren't in my picture. My ex did all the damage he could with our sons on that route. They are all fine and dandy now except the ex and that's where he'll stay. I recently had gastric bypass surgery to kick my one really hard vice, cooking and eating great food. It's been ok, so far. Only had it a week ago but my future is a lot brighter now I think. I only needed 2 major life altering events this year and retirement and surgery were it. I have nothing to do but look forward to more fiber (in more ways than one), enjoy my passions and enjoy my grandsons!!!!! Yeah!!!!!
