I am getting ever closer to my 60th! And the goal for that year is to be
walking in the parade and then up onto the stage in the Auckland Town Hall
with the Chancellor of the Auckland University for the capping ceremony and
to receive my BA. If everything goes according to plan, I should finish my
papers in Nov 2010 and be capped the following May.

That wasn't ever something on my life goals back when I turned 50.....that
is what can happen when life goals have the goal posts shifted :-)

My fibrecraft goals have had to take a back seat but I still want to achieve
many such projects and objects in that field. One area that didn't seem
feasible was to write more for scholarly journals on certain aspects of
fibres......in the melting pot for this Summer is an article about a bunch
of tea cosies that were made especially for the Te Papa Musuem back some
years ago.

The current things I achieve most months is run Treasure Island (junk shop)
& Editor of the Auckland Embroiderers Guild newsletter. Also still the
manager of Stash Enhancement Transfer Station for the Handweavers and
Spinners guild. I do a bit of dyeing here and there. Purchase goods,
saleswoman techqniques.

I am spinning.......oops no plying some handdyed romney (green, yellow,
ruby, purple blend) with a natural cream other I think Cormo on my
electronic spinner which is by the sofa for when I have the inclination!
Means it gets done......

cathy, who must dash from here my chauffeur is due soon as it's Auckland fun
Felters and I must wo(man) SETS today!
