Ron(ald) As you can see it arrived in the early hours of Jan 1.....here :-)
In NZ we do a lot more fireworks at Guy Fawkes Night (British tradition) but still there were fireworks for New Year. In a few weeks or so it will be Chinese New Year another chance for more fireworks! Jan 1 was a fabulously sunny day but unfortunately I was to spend it indoors all day due to my neighbour forgetting to secure his dogs properly who like to 'stray and challenge me'.....the neighbour appears to have left someone in charge who 'didn't care either'.....I have reported the matter to the Waitakere Council Dog Ranger. However, most of my day before was a celebration for me..... 09 looks to be just as neat as the previous few years.....it will 5yrs come late January that my health status changed which has allowed me to set forth with many personal challenges. I'm all enrolled for the coming year at Uni which begins in early March. Until that time, I am my own person :-))) Cathy in New Zealand, where I'm sure Summer will be long and glorious (we never do 'snow' this far up the country!) ----- Original Message ----- Sent: Thursday, January 01, 2009 7:11 AM >A happy New Year to all of you, including Cathy for whom I'm late.
