Below is the Workshop FAQ. New items, or items
which have been updated
since the last posting are highlighted using ***
on either side of the date/location heading.
(Remember: You can search for *** to find new
entries.) At the bottom is a section with a list
of workshop locations.

If you have any items you would like added to the
FAQ, please send the information (subject, date,
place, teacher, basic cost and contact person) to
me, Holly Shaltz, at
<mailto:[email protected]>. Please keep each
listing to 10 lines or less. Otherwise I will have
to edit, and you may lose something important to
you. When I see your submission, I will send you
a response acknowledging I got it--if you don't
hear back from me, I didn't get it. The FAQ is
updated on the
first of every month, and is posted on the web at

All inquiries about workshops should be sent to
the contact person. I have posted all the

Festival, New York

~~~~~~~~~~~
Special Events by date then state or country
***Saturday, March 7th, Salem, Oregon
Our March Spin In is dedicated to the memory of
Martha 'Marty' Markus, who passed away on
Christmas Eve in her sleep. She was instrumental
in the growth and development of the Sheep to
Shawl Festival at Mission Mill Museum in Salem, OR
each May. She also was a devoted weaver and
knitter and her family told stories of her famous
knitted vests and socks at her memorial service.
We invite everyone who is near Salem, OR, on March
7th to come join us for a fun day of spinning and
sharing stories about Marty as we honor her memory
and work. Please contact Helen at
<mailto:[email protected]> for directions and
more info. We also want to show our support for
her daughter-in-law Emily and Emily's sister
Margaret, who did so much for Marty as she
prepared to leave us.
