I'll chime in and also recommend Peru. Know nothing about the workshop, although it sounds interesting. But the textiles, both archeological and contemporary, are fascinating. -The ancient cultures )pre-Inca, pre-Columbian) produced some amazing fabrics. and the climate has preserved them. And I agree: get out of Lima and into the smaller communities. The Sacred Valley, the Nazca area, Arequipa -- almost anywhere offers great sights and history. Jane
