I just received more insurance certificates for around 500 members. We have agreed last time to take copies of these certificates prior to distribution. Original goes to the member and copy goes to the member's file. Again we need a ful time person to do this job. Just a brief summary of my meeting today with Mr. Khalid of Al Dhafra Insurance: - We paid the 2nd installment of Dhs. 50,000/- last anf final installment is due on 1st July 2009 - Mr. Khalid will follow up with Mr. Hussien the status of Al Dhafra's commitment for a donation of Dhs. 5,000 to Filex - Al Dhafra insurance is not aware of Leaders Brokers' commitment for 1,000 members from their group. This is to be dealt with seaprately with the broker. - Insurance certificates will be issued directly by Al Dhafra to Filex to avoid delay in distribution. last 2 batches of members list in Feb 2009 have not been processed due to date format variance. - We are reminded again to type the date of birth in our report as dd-mmm-yy (day-month-year) format - Regarding the repatriation benefits - this is only for repatriation of member's body due to accidental death or repatriation of permanently disabled member due to accident. Good Job Raffy, One way to help Raffy is to hire 1 person exclussively for Filex. I am not sure if it's official but someone said Filex will have a dedicated table/office at the Philippine Embassy. If this is a fact then I think it's time to act now. We are not a small organization anymore. Filex may be the only organization in the world with over 3,000 members without a single full pledged employee.
