Impact of Implementing a Library Automation System [IMHO]: -Faster circulation transaction because all the librarian does is click the Transaction Type (return, borrow, renew, hold, withdraw), then scan the book's barcode, then scan the borrower's ID card or borrower's card barcode
-There's no hard copy of the transaction (unless you issue a printed transaction report) and the borrower may deny that he/she borrowed such item esp. during Clearance procesing period -Faster searching of materials, also in the OPAC, faster generation of reports -Corrupted database without a recent backup is a disaster -Migrating from manual to automated takes time By the way, please don't use ALL CAPS, it means that you're shouting.
