The Division of Museums, Arts and Humanities (MAHD) of the Special Libraries Association (SLA) will reimburse travel and accommodation expenses up to $2,000.00 US for a professional librarian from a non-G8 country to attend the 100th SLA Annual Conference in Washington, DC, from 14-17 June 2009. The awardee will also receive free registration to the conference and to all MAHD ticketed events and will be expected to attend all MAHD programs and events.
DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION: December 31, 2008 For more information about applying for the grant, please see http://units.sla.org/division/dmah/Travel%20Grant.htm. ===== the last (and the first ever, i think) filipino to be given this travel grant was Maria Luisa Calanag in 2003. why not see if you can be the next one? as an added incentive, i will be your guide to all the SLA-MAHD events--IF you consider that an incentive =) full disclosure: i am on the selection committee, so please don't ask me for advice. what i can promise is that if we're down to the last two applicants, and both are equally good but one is filipino, i will of course vote with my very filipino heart =) von --- do unto others what you would have others do unto OTHERS =) http://filipinolibrarian.blogspot.com --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Filipino Librarians" group.
