The Philippine Association of Teachers of Library and Information Science 
(PATLS) is sponsoring a National Conference on Library and Information Science 
Education on April 13 and 14, 2009 at the Ortigas Foundation Library, Ortigas 
Center. The objectives of the conference are: to improve the passing rate of 
examinees in the licensure examination and to update the teachers, students and 
practicing librarians on current issues and trends in the profession. The

certificates. It is open to teachers, students, and graduates of library

not yet members are encouraged to join the Association for a minimum annual fee 
of P200.
