hi to all, did anyone read any article or heard the news about the tax that the Bureau of Customs imposed on importation of books in the Philippines? is it true that booksellers are not importing for the past 2 months due the duties that they need to shoulder? this will totally affect us particularly. Books are merely expensive without tax, what more with it? i hope someone, somehow, something will enlighten BOC that books are medium in making our country literate and be competitive in global market. is there anything we, as a group, can do about it?
