Subject: FREE ART CATALOGUES (by the Bard Graduate Center and Yale University
Press)

Dear Librarians,

Greetings from the Filipinas Heritage Library!

Through the efforts of Ms. Florina Capistrano-Baker PhD, former Director of the
Ayala Museum and currently a professor at the Bard Graduate Center ( BGC ),
surplus exhibition catalogues are being donated to educational and cultural
institutions here in the Philippines . These catalogues were published jointly
by the Bard Graduate Center and the Yale University Press.  Owing to Dr.
Baker’s previous affiliation with the Ayala Foundation, Inc., she has chosen to
make AFI the conduit for the distribution of these exhibition catalogues to its
intended beneficiaries.

The exhibition catalogues are ready to be shipped from the BGCwarehouse in Long
Island City, New York, U.S.A.to the Philippines. The freight forwarder
estimates that the shipment will be here by the week of September 2, 2009.  For
your information, the titles of these books are:

        1. AWN Pugin: The Master of the Gothic Revival
        2. Josef Frank: Architect and Designer
        3. Brilliance of Swedish Glass
        4. EW Godwin, Aesthetic Movement Architect and Designer
        5. Utopia and Reality, Modernity in Sweden
        6. Hungarian Ceramics from the Zsolnay Manufactory
        7. Vasemania
        8. Lions, Dragons, and other Beasts: Aquamanilia of the Middle Ages
        9. James “Athenian” Stuart, the Rediscovery of Antiquity

Should you be interested in receiving (for free) some of the titles, please
indicate your interest in the attached sheet.  Please note that we do not have
the facility to deliver the exhibition catalogues to your institution.  Your
institution therefore must make its own arrangements to get the books from the
Filipinas Heritage Library not later than September 30, 2009.  However, before
going to FHL, please call 892-1801 and look for either Cecil Ingusan at Local
15 or Rose Figuerres at Local 30 to inform us when you will pick up the books
so that arrangements can be made with the staff at the external storage area.

Should you need further clarifications, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Thank you and our warmest regards.
