The Medical and Health Librarians Association of the Philippines (MAHLAP) invites participants to attend the 5-day ICD-10 Training Course for Coders to be led by Dr. Juan M. Lopez, ICD-10 National Program Manager of the National Epidemiology Center, Department of Health on October 25-29, 2010 at C&E Bookshop, South Triangle, Quezon Avenue, Quezon City. As part of the healthcare field, MAHLAP organized this activity to help hospitals and other health facilities comply to ICD-10 training requirements for hospital licensing and accreditation of the Department of Health and Philippine Health Insurance Corporation respectively.
Also, this course will help the participants enhance their knowledge in the theoretical foundations and practical applications of ICD-10. For clinical coders, learning ICD-10 will improve the medical record documentation and for non-coders it will serve as a cutting-edge in the medical coding healthcare field. The number of participants shall be limited to 60 and on a first come first serve basis.
