I
am pleased to invite you to the 5th Rizal Library International
Conference to be held at the Ricardo and Dr. Rosita
Leong Hall Auditorium, Ateneo de Manila University, Katipunan,
Loyola Heights,
Quezon City on October 25-26, 2012.
With the conference theme "Libraries, Archives, and Museums: Common
Challenges, Unique Approaches", speakers from 13 different
countries namely, Australia, Indonesia,
Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, Thailand, India, Portugal, United States, Hong
Kong, China, Bangladesh and the Philippines will be presenting papers on
the following subthemes:
1. Acquisition and Appraisal
2. Space Management
3. Preservation and
Conservation: Practices and Procedures
4. Marketing and Promotion
5. Digitization
6. Disaster Planning and
Management
7. Cultural Heritage
Preservation
8. Student Research
Registration fee is three thousand pesos (Php 3,000.00) inclusive
of lunch, snacks, kit and certificate of participation. As our
contribution to
protecting the environment, only digital copies of conference papers on DVD
will be distributed. The papers will
also be made available at the conference website after the event.
When you arrive in the Ateneo de Manila University, please go to
the Ricardo and Dr. Rosita Leong Hall Auditorium to register and pick up your
badge and conference program. Preregistration
is available at : http://itlibrarian.com/rlconference/registration/. Payments
may be made in cash or check before or on the first day of the conference.
