Hi Nolie,
http://www.caul.edu.au/caul-programs/australasian-digital-theses/finding-theses
The Australasian Digital Theses (ADT) database ceased operation on 28 March
2011.
Australian theses are now searchable via the National Library of Australia’s
Trove service.
Please be aware that:
* the ADT included only higher degree theses - Trove includes theses at
all levels, including Honours, etc
* the ADT included only theses from Australian and New Zealand
universities - Trove includes theses held other Australian institutions
and those awarded elsewhere but housed in Australian libraries

Stephen

Subject: [FilipinoLibrarians] IFLA Statement on Libraries and Development
Now available: IFLA Statement on Libraries and Development
FYI
This might be of interest to you.
IFLA is pleased to announce the publication of a Statement on Libraries
and Development. The IFLA Governing Board approved the Statement on the
16th of August 2013.
http://www.ifla.org/files/assets/alp/statement_on_libraries_and_development.pdf
IFLA affirms that:
- Libraries provide opportunity for all
- Libraries empower people for their own self-development
- Libraries offer access to the world’s knowledge
- Librarians provide expert guidance
- Libraries are part of a multistakeholder society
- Libraries must be recognised in development policy frameworks
IFLA therefore urges policymakers and development practitioners to
leverage these powerful existing resources and ensure that any post 2015
development framework:
- Recognises the role of access to information as a fundamental element
supporting development
- Acknowledges the role of libraries and librarians as agents for development
- Encourages UN Member State support of the information frameworks
underpinning development – providing networks, information and human
resources – such as libraries and other public interest bodies
