Hi Marc

I have a Scanwit and am very pleased with it. Had it for a year now and have used both
the supplied MiraPhoto software and Vuescan
to effect. It is sharp and the images coming out of it look great to me. I print up to
A3 with no worries. If you look at Tony's
site there is a section on scanner comparisons [cant reach the site right now for some
reason] and the Scanwit does seem to have
less detail in the shadows than some others but then you have Photoshop to help out
there.

The difference in price/performance is so little compared to some other 35mm scanners
that I have no propblem in recommending it.
Bottom line - image quality [I use tranies for the most] is highly acceptable.

So check it out more thoroughly.

good hunting
Geoffrey
