filmscanners: Canon 4000 dpi scanner

On the photo.net web site I read a discussion (http://www.photo.net/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg?msg_id=001JxX) in which a couple of people mentioned a new Canon 4000 dpi scanner that should be coming out soon, priced at about $1,100. I looked on the Canon web site for information and found nothing. Anyone hear about this new scanner?   Chris
