Does the scanner allow control of the exposure for an individual scan? To explain the question: suppose I have a very dense negative and detail is lost unless there is more light allowed through it during the scan, either by varying the brightness or the time.
I know there is an 'autoexposure' feature, because the polaroid Insight software allows one to invoke it. Is this what 'everyone' uses, or is there a way (say using Vuescan) to observe that a prescan is too dark and take some action to make the full scan brighter? Bob Goldstein 408/253-4489
