I'm not Anthony, but on every piece of scanning software I've owned - all three of them! ;-) (HP, CanoScan and Vuescan) Even Vuescan calls it dpi. I'm aware, from reading www.scantips.com that ppi is perhaps the correct terminology, but dpi seems to be standard usage.
