I have several that are 6' in length. the length that is electrically critical is the total lenght of any daisy chain from controller to the last device no matter how many devices are in the daisy chain. I've had no trouble at all getting Advansys PCI SCSI cards to work with Mandrake (7 & 8), they just get detected and sort themselves out. Which is just as well, given my thin Linux know-how.
