But the poster says clearly that the slides are mostly Kodachromes ("I have a collection of around 2500 slides, mostly Kodachrome"). Digital Ice does not work very well if at all with Kodachromes. Digital ICE relies on infrared to identify scratches and dust; but infrared does not see through silver halide emulsions very well, so it does not work with B&W or Kodachromes which use silver halide emulsions.
