As far as I know, all filmscanners that appeared with SCSI interfaces used SCSI2 standard, even though they only achieved SCSI1 speeds 1-3MB/sec across the bus. I'm not a Mac person, but I thought there were Firewire<->SCSI converters too, and that was a more robust solution than USB<->SCSI because FW and SCSI are more closely related. Or have the latest Mac's dumped Firewire too?
