I'm on OS9.1 & Mac Fin2k2b.
The last few days I've had some strange file naming/updating things
happening. When I do a "Save As..." I increment my file suffix
numbering eg ("xxx1.2" to "xxx1.3"). I moved the old file into an
archive folder.
The Finale window title bar updates to reflect the new numbering. I
continued working on the file and after doing a couple of standard
"Save" noticed that the title in the bar was no longer the latest
numbering but had gone back to the previous number. I then checked my
files' modified date and discovered that the older "xxx1.2" file in
the archive folder had been updated and had become the most recent
file.
It seems that Finale reverts back to the previous file (and must keep
the absolute pathname).
This has happened a number of times over the last few and I thought
I was losing track of my file numberings etc. Not so.
Anybody experience the same?
