Imploding and exploding rely on your quantization settings, so you 
should check them out and adjust them.  You might have them set so the 
quantization is done at the triplet level.  I have found that you need 
to set them at least at the fastest note value and sometimes you need to 
have them set one level lower, so if your fastest note value is 16th 
notes, set quantization at 32nd notes.  But not always, so experiment.
