If so, they are doing so prematurely. The issue is not really Finale v.
Sibelius. The real issue is the availability of X versions of such staples as
Digital Performer & Pro Tools. A future version of OSX reportedly will have
spiffy built-in APIs for high-bandwidth MIDI and digital audio (including
digital audio plugins). I would guess that the problem for MOTU and Digidesign
is that they really can't introduce X versions of their programs until Apple
releases the version of X that supports their needs.

Personally, I don't expect X to be a viable complete solution for music labs
until the beginning of next year. (Until then, users will be forced to boot into
OS9 to do many things.) But at the same time, I do hope Finale will be available
under X alot sooner than that.
