If so, they are doing so prematurely. The issue is not really Finale v. Sibelius. The real issue is the availability of X versions of such staples as Digital Performer & Pro Tools. A future version of OSX reportedly will have spiffy built-in APIs for high-bandwidth MIDI and digital audio (including digital audio plugins). I would guess that the problem for MOTU and Digidesign is that they really can't introduce X versions of their programs until Apple releases the version of X that supports their needs. Personally, I don't expect X to be a viable complete solution for music labs until the beginning of next year. (Until then, users will be forced to boot into OS9 to do many things.)
