Thanks for your help on the ideas for keeping multi-movements within a single
file. Up til now I had been doing short orchestration exercises, but now I
want to go back and put several of these pieces together in a single file, so
I suppose I will go and add the staves in the beginning movement, and then
use the "hide" trick that was pointed out two days ago. Hopefully copy/paste
will do the rest!! I'll let you know when I have trouble...

I have a different problem this time...In a part I extracted from the score
of a piece I was engraving for a local composer, I found that one of the
regularly occuring measure numbers (on just the leftmost measure of each
line) was simply not appearing, and that all the other lines looked fine.
Even all of the other parts were unaffected by this oddity. I even found
that by using the mass mover tool and rearranging the layout by pushing the
offending measure to the previous line, or by forcing down the preceding
measure to the line in question, the correct measure number would appear! In
other words, it were as though the measure number had been deleted from JUST
this measure somewhere in the process. More distressing was the fact that
there was even no handle out in space showing the absence of said measure
number. I looked through the manual countless times trying to resolve this,
but I never found a way to delete a single measure number that would make it
never able to return. Anyone else have this problem? Am I going to be
forced to try to delete the measure, and then add it back in?

Thanks in advance,
Michael Wittenburg
