At the end of Menotti's "The Telephone", the heroine sings her phone number to her fiance as he repeats it back to her, making sure that he hasn't forgotten it.  This is more amusing considering he has just called her USING THIS VERY NUMBER from a pay phone in order to ask her to marry him, forced out of the house by the numerous and noisy interruptions of the heroine's constantly ringing telephone.

PS AOL is working on the mail situation...I forwarded an example of the digest where it printed my message twice (as I'm sure will happen again with this one).  They humbly apologized and said they would forward the request to the research team.  I have belonged to other lists in the past, and this is the first one to react to AOL mail in this fashion...please bear with me!
