There is a good book on electronic music notation by Steve Powell called
Music Engraving Today, which discusses engraving issues as addressed by
both Finale and Sibelius. There is another book called the Finale
Primer, by Bill Purse, fully updated for Finale2002. These are both
available from NPCImaging, Nick Carter's valuable resource at
http://www.npcimaging.com where he also has many other great books such
as the Ted Ross book and Andrew Stiller's great Handbook of
Instrumentation, both on CDRom.
