I'd just like to note that in the PDK files used to create plugins, the authorship credits, copyrights, and change records are meticulously maintained. There are even a few items dated back to 1989. This is the part of Finale which most people never see. I imagine that anyone who would go to that amount of trouble to keep the invisible portions duly annotated would keep their business dealings in perfect order as well.
