One of my clients is the editor of a scholarly music journal and is
interviewing new graphic designers to manage the publication of the
article. She has a grad student doing her musical examples in a recent
version of Finale (2001 or 2002, not sure). She has a PostScript printer
(HP 2100M) but doesn't really use PS printing. What I need is advice on
how to help her export the musical examples to EPS files that will embed
in MS Word 2000 documents that can be sent to the printer and be portable.

I'm clueless about PostScript (though I have a PS laser printer now), and
don't even know where to begin. I do know that there are lots of pitfalls
to portability.

Any advice would be gratefully received.
