Ah. How about <http://www.apple.com/switch/>? Or, since we're busy with semi-apocryphal quotes, how about Guy Kawasaki on the fact that Claris EMailer was Mac-only: "My heart bleeds for Windows users." Sorry... if this is coming over as Windows-bashing instead of light-hearted banter, that was not my intent. On the slightly more serious side: I've witnessed the shoe on the other foot zillions of times. I'm not a gamer, but my son is, and he's been burnt time and again by games manufacturers dropping Mac OS, or being two years behind on the Mac side, or whatever. And I've also seen far too many half-hearted ports of Windows software that don't make the least effort to follow Mac conventions. With music software I have, by and large, felt better served in the Mac world; but with business software and databases, I've found manufacturers' support for Mac OS often disappointing. In short, although I can understand that Windows users may be disappointed, my sympathies are limited. Every day of the week some software manufacturer makes a decision that leaves some users out in the cold. Being left out in the cold hurts and I don't wish it on anyone. But it happens. Speaking of which, I'm currently busy making sure all my old Mosaic scores are dumped to both PDF and MIDI. Left out in the cold? Been there, done that. Cheers!
