There is an archive, but it probably won't help you if you are after messages specifically for beginners. This list is for both beginners and advanced users, just ask away, and let the experts help you. > Most of the things I do are for beginning music students. Obviously If I cant do PrintMusic, I'll never learn > Finale! I suggest, since you already own Finale, provided it is a version equivalent to your PrintMusic version, that you move to Finale immediately. As far as I can tell the user interface is the same, it will be much less limiting when you want to do something out of the ordinary, plus the people on this list mostly use Finale, so it will be easier to help you. > > I have "ruined" several songs(in Print Music) because they are missing one or > more beats, and I don't know how to insert one beat and move everything over. > The bar lines are also off one or more beats. This sounds odd, since the box should come up if the option to check for extra beats is on; if it is off you should be able to insert as many notes as you may want. Again, I think you would be much better of if you went to use Finale right away, because then we may be able to help you much easier. I can't really tell how much you have advanced in Finale (or PrintMusic), but to make things a little easier for you I suggest you install Finale and work through the Tutorial book that Finale comes with. Do at least those tutorials dealing with things you are likely to encounter soon. Obviously if you never do lyrics in you work, then you can leave out that tutorial. It will take you some time to do all of them, but it is usually worth the effort. Johannes PS: Perhaps you could switch your mailer to send text-only mails (ie non-html) when posting to this list?
