I am sure that we have all seen engraving monstrosities before and know how notoriously hard it can be to proofread music, but take a look at this one! It is the very first note of the piece (supposed to be just an 'A' on the bass stem) and is from a reputable publisher - Chanterelle Verlag. Very small .gif at:
